Step 2. Closer to the event you will receive a form to fill out to indicate your workshop preferences throughout the weekend. We will do our best to make sure everyone gets their first or second choices. As well as food preferences and camping needs.
Step 3. Closer to the event you will also receive an email indicating how and when to register and pay for any additional practitioner services you may wish to indulge in ie. massage, acupuncture etc

Grow Wild is located on a private, 100 acre off grid farm in Shawnigan Lake, B.C. It is not located on Shawnigan Lake. The property is accessed by a 3km well maintained dirt road surrounded by endless forests.
Guests will camp in an open field and meadow surrounded by forests. Camping is not private. Guests are welcome to camp in a tent, van, rv, trailer, hammock etc. Please keep in mind, there are no hook-ups and self contained sanitary tanks must be emptied off the property at a certified sani dump site. We can accommodate any size trailer or RV.
No, one is required to spend the night! You are welcome to take advantage of any of the wonderful local accommodations around the Shawnigan Lake area. However, 2 nights camping is included in the general admission ticket price and no refunds will be given should you choose to seek accommodations off the property. We highly suggest you immerse yourself entirely in the experience and stay on the farm.
We expect to have 50-70 guests attending. We will also have a crew of approximately 40 facilitating, vending and running the event.
Numbers in each group will vary. Some can accommodate up to 30 while others have smaller capacities as low as 8. We will indicate capacities with each activity so you can choose accordingly.
While our participants and facilitators are limited to those who identify as female, there will be men present throughout the event. The farm residents and caterers.
There are 5 permanent composting outhouses. Running water hand wash facilities will be provided.
The farm is home year round to our herd of beef cattle, free range turkeys, egg chickens, cats and dogs. Seasonally we raise sheep and pigs. You won't have any direct encounters with animals. They will just be part of the ambiance!
While we love animals we do not allow any pets at any of our events. Please leave your furry friends at home.
Our main gathering areas will be under event tents. Depending on what workshops/services you choose to attend you will gather in many other locations including the Burrow, The Dock, The Forest, Fields, Pop up Tents and more.
2 Nights Camping (Friday and Saturday) 6 Delicious, Local, Organic Meals (2 light breakfasts, 2 brunches and 2 dinners) coffee and tea will be available each morning at 7am. Water and special beverages will be available throughout your entire stay. Access to all optional group activities Friday-Sunday. Live music, dancing, swimming and forest walks.
All Wellness Practitioners (ie. Acupuncture, RMT, energy healing, photo sessions etc) are purchased and booked separately from your general admission ticket. Details on this will be in your welcome email at a later date. Any purchases made at the night market.
As water from our spring is low in late summer we will not be offering showers. With 2 large bodies of water for swimming, showers are an unnecessary luxury. Please do not wash in the lakes.
You are welcome to come and go in a manner that suits your needs and schedule, however, a general admission ticket must be purchased and funds will not be altered, no refunds will be issued. We also suggest staying for the entire time and immersing yourself in the Grow Wild Experience.
The property is 100% self-sufficient. This means it is not connected to any municipal water, sewer or power. We generate our own electricity and water from wells/springs. The main farmhouse is fully powered by our offgrid solar and water system should someone need access to electricity. All remote locations are powered with silent generators. Solar lights are provided around the property but we highly recommend a good quality flashlight or headlamp.
You will be cocooned in approx 40 acres of our 100 acre farm. Main event tents and camping will be on dry, level fielded grass. Events will take place in fields, forests and on docks. You can expect to walk between locations or feel free to bring your pedal bike for ease of getting around. You will have access to 2 large (apron 3 acres each) fresh water ponds for swimming and floating about!
Yes. We will have photographers and a videographer attending throughout the entire event. Each guest will have to opportunity to fill out a photo/video release form indicating if they consent to having their photo shared. If you do not consent to having your photo shared we will make sure any footage of you is disposed of.
We have a zero tolerance policy for open flames of any kind during a fire ban. There will be no fires (propane or open flame) This includes candles, incense, smudging and smoking. Our Wood Fired Spa will not be available during the event for this reason. Anyone found responsible for starting a wildfire is liable for all related costs by the Province of BC. Please be fire smart. The property is equipped with water pumps and fire hoses should an incident like this occur.
We will not be serving any alcohol. If you wish to bring your own for Friday/Saturday evenings then please do indulge responsibly. We have a zero tolerance policy for any illegal drugs. We have a zero tolerance policy for smoking/vaping.
There is good cell phone reception but wifi will not be readily available to guests. We do have Starlink should there be an emergency. Download your tunes before arriving!
There will be two outlets available for charging small devices (like phones and speakers). Keep in mind that these will be for all attendees. We suggest you unplug and leave your phone in your tent!
You create your own adventure and curate as much free time as you feel you need in the moment.
You can sign up for as many or as few as time allows.
Everything that we offer is simply that... an offering. You are welcome to join in on everything or nothing. You will never be asked to speak in a group setting or share if you are not comfortable doing so. You are welcome to come and go as needed.
There will be a form released at a later date where you will have the opportunity to select your workshop preferences.
Due to many factors we unfortunately cannot guarantee workshop choices. We will do our very best to accommodate everyone's first and second choices.
We can accommodate most dietary restrictions. We can accommodate Gluten Free but NOT CELIAC. Everything is prepared in a kitchen that also uses and processes nuts. There will be a form released at a later date where you will have the opportunity to give us this information.
To limit cell phone use and general responsibility for anything other than your own body the night market will be cash only. Please come prepared.
All ticket sales are final sale. We do not offer refunds with the exception of the event being cancelled by us, the hosts. Please plan your trip accordingly. You can however transfer your ticket to someone else. Please contact us directly before doing so growwildretreats@gmail.com.
